The Orquesta America was founded in 1942 and has been working with different musicians ever since, with the format of a 'charanga', the usual formation that plays Cuban 'son' or 'salsa'. Danzon is one of the four CDs which Orquesta America recorded for Tumi Music with the participation of grammy winning legendary piano player Chucho Valdes, Felix Reina, the creator of Danzon among others.
